130 dB alarm. A loud siren starts right away and pulls the attention of anyone nearby. It runs from the device itself, so there is no phone to unlock, no app to open and no signal to wait for before the sound goes out.

Flashlight. The built-in light switches on so you can be seen, signal for attention or find your footing in the dark. It also earns its place in the smaller moments around an emergency: the street, the doorway, the bike lock, the last stretch home.

Emergency call. Once the SOS countdown ends, OYA places an emergency call from your phone. Even when the moment is too much to think through, the next step toward help is already under way.

The alarm hits 130 dB measured at 30 cm, roughly a jet engine heard from 30 metres away. Sharp enough to throw someone off at close range and to pull eyes from the far side of a street, a platform or a car park.
Does OYA run without my phone?
It does. The 130 dB alarm and the flashlight run entirely on their own: no phone, no app, no signal. A phone comes into play only for the extras, meaning one-tap emergency calling and live location sharing.
How long does a charge last?
Several weeks of ordinary carrying on one full charge. A couple of hours on USB-C fills it back up, and a short top-up carries you through the week, so it is awake whenever you are.
Who gets to see where I am?
Only the emergency contacts you picked, and only once you start a share or set off an alert. Nothing is followed in the background: your position stays yours until you choose to send it out.
What if I set it off by mistake?
Firing OYA takes a deliberate press and hold rather than a quick tap, so it will not go off by itself in a bag or a pocket. Should it ever happen, a couple of seconds is enough to cancel it. No false alarms on the bus.
Can OYA handle water?
Splashes and rain are fine, so daily carrying, a sudden downpour or a sweaty run pose no problem. Swimming and full immersion are outside what it was built for.
